ANDRIY POLYAKOV

Andriy POLYAKOV (March 26, 1961, Leipzig, Germany) is a specialist in the field of armaments and military equipment.

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2019).

He graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (1984, majoring in “precise mechanical devices”), the Military Academy of Armored Forces (Moscow, 1988, majoring in “operational-tactical engineering, tank forces”), the National Defense Academy of Ukraine (Kyiv, 2003, “management of operations with associations and associations of the Armed Forces”).

From 1984 he was in military service; 1988–92 served at the Military Academy of Armored Forces; 1993–98 – at the Kyiv Institute of Land Forces.

From 1998 to 2000, he headed the Scientific and Methodical Laboratory of the Academy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2001, he defended his doctoral thesis and received the scientific degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. Since 2002, he has the academic title of Professor.

2005-2007 he headed the technical support department of the National Defense Academy of Ukraine.

Since 2007, he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Automobiles and their Repair and Restoration, and since 2018 he has been the head of the Department of Military Training of the Vinnytsia National Technical University.

Field of scientific interests: improvement of dynamic, economic and environmental indicators of special machines and vehicles by improving the power supply and regulation system; development of methods, mathematical models and power systems for efficient use of alternative and traditional fuels in road transport; improvement of the system of technical maintenance and repair of weapons and military equipment and increasing the performance of samples of armored vehicles.
